1.)   Location- where in the backyard you would like the pool located? Ususally two choices are preferred in case the first choice proves to be unacceptable. Zoning regulations and set backs differ from county to county.

2.)   Size- depends upon number of people in the family and usage (laps, sports, entertainment, etc.)

3.)   Shape- freeform, oval/kidney or rectangular also depends on usage.

4.)   Engineering- freestanding or retaining wall.

5.)   Plumbing- number of skimmers and return lines as well as positioning.

6.)   Filtration- the type and size of filters, pumps, heaters and pool sweeps

7.)   Decking, Tile & Coping amount in square footage and the type(s) desired.

8.)   Finish- the bottom surface of the pool or spa (i.e. plaster).
