From Backyard... to Backyard Vacation - the Steps to building a Pool/Spa


Gunite is a concrete mixture that is sprayed from a special gun over the steel reinforcements creating a concrete shell around the steel rebar as a permanent foundation for the pool/spa. Ceramic tile and and/or coping (masonary dressing along the pool's top edge) are layed next. In the photos below, the owner chose enchanced colbalt blue tile with "bull-nose" brick coping. There are a wide variety of available options balancing between artistic preference and affordability. This is also true of Equipment, Lighting (Pool & Landscaping) and electronic enhancement.
